Nationwide Current Account (closing) and Credit Card

Wonder if anyone knows the answer to this bit of a random query.

We have been with Nationwide for 8 years. Opened a current account and also got a credit card (currently £0 balance). I'm sure the CC was for existing customers only.

I've just switched the current account away from Nationwide but would like to keep the credit card for a balance transfer.

Obviously the current account has been closed but would the credit card also be closed as I'm no longer a current account customer? Or is this clause jusr for when you initially open the credit card. The credit card still shows online but my current account does not.

Hope that's clear. I may just ring them tomorrow and ask.

Thanks

I just checked the t&c's. A search for the term 'current account' yielded this:
    (a) To qualify for cash rewards your account must have been opened before 11th
January 2018 and you must have (and continue to have) a main current account
relationship with us (information on what having a main current account
relationship means can be found on our website, in branch or by contacting
us using the contact details in clause 15). If you no longer have a main current
account relationship with us you will not be eligible to accrue any cash rewards
and we will contact you if this happens.

So it looks like they've considered this scenario but are only stating they'd stop accrual of cash rewards.

I also agree with the interpretation of the T&Cs as above - there is nothing clearly stated that you must continue to hold an eligible current account after the credit card has been set up, unless you are one of the lucky few to be eligible for cashback rewards. Even then (as above) you only seem to lose access to cashback rather than having to close the account entirely.
