Hotpoint dishwasher fiasco

My 43 day old hotpoint dishwasher went wrong, I thought no probs as purchased through John Lewis.... phoned, waited over a week for engineer to come out, he came out & couldn’t fix. Some kind of electrical fault, a new electric module will take another two weeks on order. Not happy so rang John Lewis, they phoned through to hotpoint but they would not do anything else. John Lewis advertise 100 day money back guarantee so I asked about this, the customer service lady had never heard of this so looked at their own website, yes she said I can see your point. She put me on hold again & phoned said number to whirlpool. She was put on hold by whirlpool as they were not aware of this ‘promotion’. 50 minutes later I get an answer to say email proof of purchase to whirlpool, I said I couldn’t do this as a VAT receipt is not showing on J L account when I log in, oh yes the JL lady said the VAT receipt system isn’t live yet as they have technical errors! I now have to wait another 48 hours to see if they can email me one! Arrrggghhh it’s still not resolved 1 day off work and three phone calls later....:(
