Heard it all now. 84 year old father was with extra energy. Of course, they went bust last year and everyones account transferred to scottish power.
They've not provided final bills until about a week ago. This week he gets a letter threatening to take him to court.
No final bill, no breakdown, just a total.... Its not good.

Debt collecting letters always use threats to get payment
If he doesn't agree the amount being chased he needs to make sure he sends a written dispute letter to whoever is trying to collect the final balance0
