Capital One DD payment time

Idly wondering how long after a DD payment from my bank will take to show on a Capital One account as paid? Most months I don’t take much notice (bad person, I know!) but I am off on my hols Wednesday. Bank shows it went overnight, Cap1 still saying it needs paying by Friday to not incur charges, not worried because I know it has been paid. Just getting my ducks in a row, Cap1 will be the back up card if my bank card is declined while away, has happened due to U.K. DD coming out while abroad on holiday and foreign charge going through around the same time, so they thought there was something wrong and froze the card. Despite me telling them the dates. Confused the automation, so computer said No! I know three Ds are due in the next couple of days when I arrive, so in theory it could happen this time as well.

The bank shows the DD not long after midnight. It usually appears as a pending transaction with CapitalOne sometime during the day. It shows as clear with CapitalOne sometime during the afternoon/evening on the same day. :)

How bizarre, I was just wondering the same thing about AMEX today. My DD came out in the wee hours of this morning but still doesn't apear as "paid" on AMEX app.

Same - my DDs for Amex come out on the 3rd of every month (as they don't give the option of choosing the 1st or 2nd).

Money has left my account but is yet to be updated on my Amex cards as paid and the balance updated.

Provided there are sufficient funds in your bank account, then any issues with the DD not being paid on time are protected under the DD guarantee and should be resolved by Capital One or your bank. Capital One will know that it takes a certain amount of time to process the payment, so in my experience are unlikely to penalise you for something they have complete control over. DDs usually get paid out early morning, and are allocated to your account usually by the end of the same working day

@!!!. Has your AMEX payment shown up yet? I've never known it to take this long. I have a large overpayment I want to get back this month (due to refund) and I can't do that till the balance comes off.
