Thank you for the suggestions, I will try the ginger shampoo - years ago, before this developed, I used to get one of the TBS shampoos that really suited me but it was discontinued. I've tried head and Shoulders but didn't get on with it, not sure why but I'm allergic to some scents, could be that.

Speky, do you think you might have cut down too much on salt? It us hard to get the balance right, too much us bad for you but you need a tiny bit. Anyway, I hope it is not sinister.

    Gers, that's vintage!

just ask the girl for a sample to try, then you'r not buying it in case it doesn't work, I seem to remember that the first few times I used it, it stung a bit, but was ok after that, they do a conditioner too now,
you can get copies of it now in Poundland I think, but I stick to the original as a bottle lasts me ages, you don't need much

A late morning all from cloudy but warm mehefinland
Been mia for a while but keeping up on the reading
After 6 weeks my back is finally well enough to dispense with the support belt. Went horspital yesterday for biometry measuring for my cataract . 1 hours travel each way and I was there 10 minutes. Why they couldn't have done it all at once when I was there 2 weeks ago beats me,
Bruisemare continues to struggle on with her hind feet. Corrective shoeing has started but its going to be a very long business to get her right.
DS has decided to chuck in his well paid job and move to Dorset to be with his GF of 8 months, who is unemployed and lives in the back of beyond. Mrs M and I have argued till blue in the face. She lost her Dad to cancer last Monday and he feels he has to be there to support the family. She has 3 siblings and a Mum. He is going to live with them till he gets another job he reckons. I just think he is being extremely stupid and naïve but there's no talking to him.
He will be playing happy families having destroyed his own. She is a nice enough girl but very controlling and I suspect bi-polar as there have been several instances where he have told him to walk away ( as have his friends) . Really am at wits end and don't know what more we can do.

Sorry to unburden on here as I know many of you have much greater problems .

Hugs and spoons to those in need as always ( might save a few for us too)

Mehefin don't know what to say. I know it's tough being a parent. Sending you and the Missus a big hug.

DH and I went to see the consultant this morning. DH has made a brilliant recovery from his neùrosurgery and has his hearing back. The benign tumour was pressing on his aural nerve and he was deaf in his left ear. The scar is hardly noticeable now. DH thanked him and told him how grateful we are. Words are not enough really to express our gratitude.

He will have another MRI scan then 6 monthly appointments to monitor him in case of any more benign timours
He has N F so has quite a few on his outer body..

Well hugs to all. Have a good evening.

Mehefin - sorry to read about your son, you just can't win sometimes.

Gintot - great news from your house!

My clearing out of the tea cupboard is done. The oldest dated tea was BB 2004. I've kept one packet which was wrapped in brown paper with 'souvenir from Russia' on; the packet has Russian writing on too. One of DM's friends was Russian so I need to explore that further.

I've done my online banking. Then sorted out moving DM's ISA from an account paying 0.05% to one paying 1.4%. Then I did the meter readings for BG and put them in online.

My cold is beginning to stream :( so it's hankies everywhere! I didn't go out today so need to do that tomorrow.

Yesterday my SIL rang from Oz, seems that QLD has had two weeks of rain non-stop, so much for living on the Sunshine Coast. I tried to sympathise though she knew I didn't really mean it. :rotfl:

    Time for two more paracetamol!

    Afternoon all,

Hugs and best wishes for speedy recovery to all suffering from any illness, hopefully all will be well soon.

We were out this morning to do a little shopping.......I closed the boot lid on OHs head when we took out the bags, happily no blood drawn as with his Warfarin bleeding can mean a trip to A & E.

Tonight I am meeting my brother's estranged wife for dinner......hate that word but they have never divorced so not sure what else to say. She and I have always been good friends so that is how it will stay..

Speky....as someone else has said, it could be that you are dehydrated.

Teeth are still uncomfortable although slightly less so......hate the "glue" needed , hope that something can be done when dentist comes back from holiday.

Enjoy the rest of the evening
