First National Bank

We got a loan for some windows some years ago through a company called Budget Windows. The finance company was First National although everything was arranged through the window company. The window company has now ceased trading some time ago can we still make a claim for PPI against First National who I believe is now owned by GE money/Santander?
Thanks

I doubt it.
Any complaint would go to the Window Company who sold you the insurance. However, if the PPI was sold prior to January 2005, there is no one to complain to..0 -

Why is this because First National was taken over by another bank? Thought as much with the window company!0 -

The window company is no longer trading and (apparently) it's pre-regulation of general insurance sales in 2005.
So no one to complain to..0
