Just a quick note as I'm too old now for the whole ride and wristband thing (they look value for money though if you have pre-teen/teen age children who are going to go on many of the rides)
But just so your aware fantasy island isn't actually in Skegness its a 20/30 minute bus ride away It also has europes largest (or used to be) market if you would like lots of knock offs eg Addidas Nikey UGGG or scarfs, the beach is nice and you can walk from skegness to fantasy island/ingoldmells along the sea wall. They tend to have "good" (you get what you pay for) sun/mail caravan english seaside holidays there.
My yearly holiday as a child was to Skegness either Butlins or in a caravan and my parents live only like an hour away so good day trips over to the coastThanks to money saving tips and debt repayments/becoming debt free I have been able to work and travel for the last 4 years visiting 12 countries and working within 3 of them. Currently living and working in Canada  :dance:0 -
yes its a great day out, loads of rides and some big coasters , book online for cheapest price, not usually discounts about for this place, be careful if you look around the market its mostly fake stuff, been raided loads of times0

We used to take The Vikingettes every year for their theme park fix.
Why?
It's substantially cheaper than the main theme parks
It has enough big rides
You don't get 2 hour queues for rides as in some Merlin Parks - 20-30mins is the worst. Even though it looks busy, not everyone that is there are going on the rides.
The biggest advantage is that us coat hangers don't have to pay to go in
There's a wide choice of unhealthly food outlets!
However discounts we've noticed are drying up. We used to print out vouchers from the local press. The man without a signature.0 -

:rotfl::rotfl: When I was younger and when fantasy Island first opened the "fashion show" used to be in the main fair area my mum was quite happy for me to go off with my tokens on the rides and she could sit and have chairs as the coat hangersat the start of the season they used to have buy 20 GBP of tokens and get 20 GBP free if the local papers but i've not seen any offers like that for a long time.

Took my 16yo and her mate there a couple of weeks ago. Celebration of the end of their GCSEs. The girls were entertained enough for 2-3 hours. We walked round the nearby market instead and then went for a drink.0

2-3 hours ?
We went the other week when they had the £10 wristband offer , was there from 11 to 6 , went on loads of rides a few times, loads to do i thought.
Ice Mountain was my favourite its a unique ride0 -
Oh and if you do go keep the car park receipt, there has been a few problems with smart parking sending out parking notices0

If you want cheap & tacky with watered down lager then yes, Ingoldmells is brilliant.0
