Partking Eye fine - disputed photographic 'evidence'

I have been sent a parking fine based on photographic 'evidence' showing I left a 3hr stay car park after 3hr 39mins, when I actually left after about 2 hrs.
Firstly how can they provide what is clearly incorrect photographic 'evidence' (the photo actually looks like a different car with a photo of my number plate attached), and how do I prove I left the car park at the time when I did?
Thanks

Do you have a smartphone with 'Location Services' set to 'On'? That is likely to plot your movement on the day. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Did you return, or did another driver use the car & nip back? Two visits shown as one are a common ANPR flaw and well known scam.

Do you have a dash cam, or tracking on your car or Google Location on your phone?
Easiest way to cancel a P/Eye PCN is to complain to the landowner - i.e. the retailer/hotel/cinema/hospital/pub or whatever, on site, as they all have a ParkingEye User Manual with an email addy for cancellations for customers.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

ANPR scameras don't read number plates. They record an image that is then processed, aka altered/doctored, via an optical character recognition computer programme to produce numbers and letters. It doesn't always get the right answer.
Cracks, screws, light and shadow, dirt, reflections etcetera can affect the result.
Very carefully check the photo' against your car. Look for discrepancies such as stickers, dents, smudges, etcetera on the car that aren't on the scammers' images, and vice-versa.
Look very closely at the "superimposed" number plate. There is often a garage name in small writing so see if they are the same length on the image from the scammers as any garage name on your car.
Look for positions of the screws to see if they are different.
Once you have the evidence, take comparison pics of your car to show the differences, then complain to the DVLA and BPA with your evidence that parking lie have obtained your personal data without any justifiable reason.
Also complain that the scammers manual checks have failed to spot the errors. I believe parking lie claim they have something like a seventeen point manual check, but won't tell anyone what they are.
Also complain to the landowner and your MP about this unregulated scam.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0
