Did Zurich Life or Zurich Insurance do ppi for Barclays

Just finally got all my stuff from Barclays, goes back to 1998. I know we were sold ppi on a mortgage in 1991, we were self employed.
Barclays have sent a piece of paper showing its inconclusive for that mortgage, as historical.But it does not at least say NO.
All the bank statement show a payment to Zurich Insurance on the day we paid mortgage 2, the one with ppi.
I also find one to Zurich Life, and 2 to Barclays Life.
I tried to claim on the policy in 1999 and was refused so stopped paying, all that disappears is Zurich Life, to be replaced by a bigger sum to Barclays Life.
We now know we were charged on mortgage 3 and have been refunded.
I'm convinced that one of those payments to Zurich are the ones that were missold but need help to try prove it.

Zurich Life is a life assurance company. PPI is provided by General Insurance companies. Zurich do have a general insurance company.

From my memory, Barclays did not retail Zurich Life products They used Barclays Life before changing to a different insurer. They may have had Zurich General insurance products under the Barclays brand.

So, the Zurich Life one cannot be PPI. Nor can Barclays Life.
