Tonik Energy prices have drooped twice in 14 days . .
But why don't they just switch me to a the cheaper tariff with out me asking or just email me better deals !?

    The supplier is strictly prohibited from rolling any customer onto a new fixed term contract by the regulator's standard licence conditions unless the customer expressly requests such.

    In regards notification of a cheaper tariff, the supplier is obligated by the regulator to inform customers if they have a cheaper tariff available. This is usually included on the bill or statement.

    The saving you indicate is unique to your own situation.
    When I compare an average user based in the Eastern supply region, the saving is less than £7.00 (as there is very little change in unit costs, electric is slightly cheaper, gas slightly more expensive, but standing charges are about 1.5p per day less)
    However there are many other suppliers than could offer an average user in this supply region savings of almost £90 over and above this latest Tonik tariff
