Watchfinder- not to be trusted

Watchfinder offered me a good quote via email to buy my Rolex watch.
I had sent them a photo of the watch and all the necessary details.
Subsequently I booked an appointment to visit their Burlington Arcade store- upon seeing the watch the Watchfinder employee then declared it was a different model than they’d quoted for ( I’d even sent them a photo!) and he offered £7000 LESS than the previous quote he’d given.
Obviously I immediately left the store.....but it appears from numerous watch forums that this is Watchfinder’s business model- they get you in the store with a fair quote and then low ball you hoping that having gone to the effort of getting to the store you’ll just take the low ball.
My advice to anybody looking to deal a watch is AVOID Watchfinder.

Thanks for the warning, it won't affect me as my current watch only cost 89p + postage.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
