    Will,
I was in the exact same position as you last month

I handed in my notice, my job was waaaay too stressful.

I had no job to go to

I started applying immediately, fretting that I only had a month

On INDEED and MONSTER etc - applying for everything, whether I felt qualified or not, some better paid, some worse - spending hours each day ensuring I had applied for everything that had been posted that day - I literally applied for EVERYTHING that was coming out

All quiet for a week, whilst the closing dates for the jobs were coming round and then WHAM, literally interview after interview

Before the end of the month, I was offered two jobs.

I was keen on both, but picked my favourite - a far less paid job than the one I walked from, but it is my dream role

    I am very fortunate

What I am saying Will, is to get a job, treat job searching like an actual job - get at it, every single day, keep up to date with what jobs are coming out each and every day

Any particular places you want to work, FOR EXAMPLE, be a postman, get on the Royal Mail website and look

See this as an opportunity to make some positive changes and realise what you want to do

Apply for all sorts, even if you feel you are punching above your weight, as you never quite know, you could get called in for interview and the employer see good in you

    Good luck

I moved from a high stress, well paid career, in to a low paid role for a Charitable organisation, and I feel on top of the world
The opposite of what you know...is also true

Could you try IT support? You like computers and are used to customer service - might offer some good options in the future.

Also try emailing some local companies directly. One of our senior developers was taken on because he just moved to the area (small village) and emailed on the off chance. We weren't advertising but we met down the local and I offered a job there and then.
