Some proper banks struggle to process payments within 20 minutes.
A payment I made from my Tesco Bank account to my Co-operative Bank account Saturday evening didn't arrive until Sunday morning.

Our banking partner will be doing some maintenance work on our outbound payment systems this Sunday (30 June) between 05.00 and 18.30. Payments sent from your U Account during this time will be delayed but should arrive no later than 23.00. Thanks for your patience.0 -
You might need to contact your bank if this still isn't resolved. On the technical side, faster payments aren't guaranteed to be instant (although they often are) and at the latest can take up to the end of the business day following when the payment was sent (in your case this should be by the end of Mon/Tues) - see http://www.fasterpayments.org.uk/how-long-do-faster-payments-take. I'm not sure if U is signed up to this service, so transfers could be using the older slower system which will likely take a few working days more (usually 1-5 depending on the service). Keep in mind the service disruptions above. It might also be worth triple checking that you sent the payment to the right bank account, just on the odd chance you sent it elsewhere.

It was done by faster payments!! I have contacted U and they are telling me it's left my account. I have the screen shot if I'm able to upload0

You definitely quoted the correct account details for your friend?0

@Terry towelling Yes as I need to save them when first making a payment to them and this isn't the first time I have transferred money to her0
