Hermes unscanned parcel

Has anyone else had this?
Dropped of parcel at parcel shop Saturday morning and entered tracking number onto ebay page.

Looking at the tracking on both ebay and Hermes site it says "driver not scanned at pick up"

It has not moved since then and am getting worried that this will now be lost in the system. Also, this might fall foul of ebay trackng rules if it doesn't show as delivered.

I wouldn't mind but, it was only going 10 miles away.

I thought I would wait untill tomorrow when it should be delivered before getting in touch with Hermes.

Has anyone else had this happen?

If you dropped it off yesterday morning it wont get collected till monday so nothing will show on parcel being scanned

It always gets picked up on a Saturday at lunchtime.

I dropped off at 11.20 was picked up at 12.30 but said "driver not scanned"

I have had similar but from memory the message was different - something like collected unscanned - when I spoke to our delivery chap he said it happens when they can't get the scanner working, hopefully yours is similar.
