Universal Credit and PILON (Pay in Lieu of notice)

I got the sack 10 days ago and applied for Universal Credit the next day (have to cos privately rent a one bedroom flat but landlord does accept housing benefits) although I was concerned that I'm still owed to be paid a final weeks pay and 2 weeks PILON (pay in lieu of notice) and remaining holiday pay at some point. I've now found out that apparently Universal Credit treat all severance wages (except redundancy payments) like any other earnings and deduct 63 percent of any final wages that one receives AFTER claiming Universal Credit, has anyone else heard this??
