Hi am too sick and not fit for work anymore and am wondering when I apply for the ESA Universal Credit benefit while waiting in the meantime do you receive any kind of payment while they process your claim?

It's not called ESA Universal Credit. It's just Universal Credit but to apply for limited capability for work you'll need fit notes from your GP.Bennyblanco187 wrote: »Hi am too sick and not fit for work anymore and am wondering when I apply for the ESA Universal Credit benefit while waiting in the meantime do you receive any kind of payment while they process your claim?
UC is a means tested benefit and claiming this will depend on household income, savings and capital. If you live with a partner that works then you claim as a couple. If you're entitled to claim this then you can apply for an advance payment when you start your claim but this needs to paid paid back weekly from your future UC payments.
New style ESA has replaced the old Contributions based ESA and claiming it will depend on your NI Contributions between April 2016 and March 2018.

new style ESA and Universal Credit are different benefits. ESA eligibility depends on NI contributions made between April 2016 and March 2018. ESA payments used to start about two weeks after making a claim bu5 I have heard that it now takes longer. UC has a delay of 5 weeks designed in but you can request an advance payment.
You can claim both but any ESA will be deducted from any UC.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0
