Temp car insurance?

We have car we are selling but its on sorn. Should I get temporary insurance till the car is sold? I have another car. Would it be cheaper on my car insurance policy to insure or put in name of partner whose car it was till sold it.

    If it's SORN then you don't need to insure it.
    Are you expecting it to be a while before it goes?

    You will need to also take it off sorn to take it on to public roads

    SORN'd then it wont be taxed, are you selling to traders with trade plates?

    Don't forget that buyers insurance will usually only cover your car 3rd party if its covered at all.
    Your insurance probably wont cover it because you were not driving it.


    Is it worth spending money on tax and insurance? Reduce the price and sell it quickly instead? Check online prices see what they value your car at.
