Nuisance Phone Calls

I have had 2 local landline silent phone calls over the last month or so. One was about 3 months ago then recently (both about 5.10am on a Sunday morning) and when I picked up sounded like a "bad line"...it's like that when phoning it back too. The other happens about 6.45 am and is more frequent. When picked up this rings off and just rings and rings when I phone back.

I am with Tiscali broadband, phone and line rental so BT don't want to know. Tiscali can barr them but I'd rather get to the cause of the problem. I am already registered with TPS and don't receive any other nuisance calls.

Any advice please?

Hello! I'd love to know if you ever got any advice about this problem - I'm helping my partner deal with a very similar situation. I even know who it is that's making the silent calls (Capital One), but I really need advice on what to do next, as I'm recently arrived in London from America, and the way the we deal with this kind of thing over there is completely different from here!
