New Washing Machine Leaking - Is it an installation problem?

Hi
My brand new, newly installed Miele Premier Plus, installed by a plumber has started leaking. I turned it on over the weekend and water came into the barrel fine, but then it started coming out from under the machine and flooded my garage! I contacted the plumber and he said he fitted it fine, and to contact Comet as thats where I bought the machine. They asked me to ring Miele, to which they said if its an installation problem, I'll be charged £99.
I checked again last night - the cold water pipe and waste pipes are both secure. I started the machine, and now 2 lights come on to say that the inlet and outlets are both blocked.
The garage is on a slope and the previous owners had their washing machine in exactly the same place.
Any ideas before I get hit with a 99'er?
I'm testing the dryer tonight.

I would drag the washer out as far as possible with it connected, turn it on and when it leaks try to work out where the water is coming from.
If it is coming from the mains water connection then its your responsibilty (ie remove and refit), if its coming from under the washer (ie an internal leak) then its down to warranty and i would contact comet.
I would not be paying a single penny to have it fixed if it was a 'washer problem'.
I would question comet about it going faulty within X amount of days, and if they should replace it, instead of fixing it as your contract is with comet, not the maker.0
