DRO ended
Hello. Me and my husband had a DRO on both of our names for 6 years which ended in April this year.
I was aware it would effect our credit for that period of time.
However I am now trying to get a mortgage but the banks are saying because I have had a DRO I can't get one for two years or I need 15% deposit.
My credit on Experian is now 973, so very good but I still can't get one.
Is this right that it is still taken into account after the 6 years?
Thanks

What is the question that you are being asked that is causing the problem?
Is it 'when did your DRO complete'? If you had it in 2013 it completed in 2014, not 2019.
If you are being asked 'have you ever been bankrupt or had an IVA?' the answer is no
Are you applying for a mortgage to organisations that had a debt in the DRO?
If none of those things apply then I'm at a loss here. Maybe the guys on the mortgages board would have more experience with this.0 -
The DRO itself lasts for a year but it stays on your credit record for 6 years.
This has now passed but I am still being turned down for a mortgage.
They know it hasn't been as IVA.
No I'm not trying a mortgage with who the DRO was with.
Is there a mortgage section I can ask if you think they may be better?
