Out fox the Market

I recently moved house and signed up with Bulb to supply my energy. I have now received two letters from Outfox the Market about an unpaid bill. But I have never had an account with them. Are they something to do with Bulb? My previous supplier was Scottish Power. I'm not sure whether to ignore these letters or to fight them.

Not a good idea ever to ignore any bills you get even though this looks wrong to you ( the creditor may take legal action which will be more hassle than just contacting them now to get it sorted)0

When you move into a new dwelling, you must contact it's current energy supplier - ( Outfox the market ? ) - to register your occupancy and give them meter readings.
Only when that supplier has registered you as the occupier and given you your own account number, are you free to Switch to another supplier0 -

You seemed to have missed out the first stage of moving into a new house. You should have contacted the present supplier first and given them the meter readings. You are then on a standard tariff and free to switch - to Bulb if that your choice. What estimate of consumption did you give Bulb ? (hopefully not based on your old house)Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
Thanks for your responses guys. The previous supplier at the property was Bulb. That's one of the reasons I went with them.0

OK - You did what should be done, Bulb were the current supplier and you signed up with them.
Obviously something is awry with Outfox sending bills, but don't just ignore it - Do as Cardew has advised and contact Outfox a.s.a.p - If you just ignore it, the problem will just get more complex.0 -

Stange how this supplier who you have never had an account with knows your name
As others indicate, I would suggest you contact them and find out what's going on. More to this than it would seem :cool:0
