Bon Voyage to Camelot and have a lovely time.

Have a rattling cough and feel a bit feverish which kept me up most of the night and ended up trying to sleep sitting up against several pillows. Plan to have some porridge for breakfast and soup for lunch which should soothe my throat and then try to get into a cool shower and slob around in a dressing gown.

Middle dd and fiance are having a family barbecue tonight and youngest dd is staying over with them tonight. Older dd and husband are going too with their baby and I had hoped to go but really don't want to pass on this virus.

A grocery delivery is due around seven tonight with lots of fruit, veg, chicken, eggs and milk so I don't have to go out to the shops. Older DD came round last night and set up my new tv, phone and broadband for me which will save me about £40 a month.

    Gers

I am so glad your Mum felt able to eat some fish and chips even if it was a smallish portion. Looks as if she is getting her appetite back, fingers crossed.

Morning all! Back for a fleeting visit again.Father has two more radios to go, then a biopsy the week after with results to be discussed beginning of August. He is back to not eating very well, sister is having a hard time understanding how awful it makes you feel [being told and exeriencing are two different things], and divorcing years of eating low cal versions of things, from the advice to eat as much calories as you can. I am piggy soothing in the middle because I can see both sides.

I am thoroughly knackered, but needs must for the time being, so a relaxing day garden pottering, or more likely, just looking at it...
Gers, i feel your pain regarding decluttering. My sister and I are slowly throwing things away from both houses, I have chucked some video tapes [!!!I know!!] , a broken bowl, old pot pourri, a broken umbrella, and will be starting on the single bedding next. My mother was a bit of a linen hoarder, the worst thing is, it's all quality stuff so I'm going to have to find good homes for it all. My father, tools and wood, so the shed [ very big shed and only one of them] is groaning at the seams, so will have to tackle there next. I am also loathe to throw anything away that could be useful so I'm having an internal dilemma....
Nelski, blimey, lucky it can be sorted so quickly! I was contemplating having that done because I'm so short sighted..Will still do it then, when finances permit. Be careful of your hands too...And I think anyone with a cantankerous parent needs a free two week Maldives holiday...nan, that's you too! Have a fab time camelot! TA, lovely to hear your garden is sorted, please don't resort to selling your body for funds if low! :) dunpling, change the password on the amazon account, after she pays you of course...you don't need that kind of thing, her MH is her problem, you don't have to see her when she's going to cause you grief. And I understand your anger at the MH situation with you, when you have an appointment, you get worked up about it, then when it doesn't materialize through [in my fathers case] incompetence, it just makes you SO ANGRY! Speky, good move on the alarm status...enjoy your weekend.
snoozer, look after yourself too. HH, hope you get your hearing aids sorted soon...Holly, cwtches for you...Hope everyone has a great weekend!

    Sunblast Saturday!

Morning all. I'm away for a few days and having a lovely time. Reminds me of how beautiful this country is with so much to see and do. Spending a fair bit on food and drink but enjoying top quality food in beautiful surroundings. Take care and kind thoughts for everyone

    Hi everyone
We've had a lovely warm day here....a mixture of sun and cloud but really enjoyed sitting out in it. Got all my jobs done this morning so I could relax this afternoon. Hospital visiting tomorrow so out the house from 9 till 5.
Little granddaughter is now into her third week in hospital. She's no better but no worse either. Lots of tests have been done and it has been discovered that she has severe relux, too much acid in her stomach and a problem with her stomach not processing her food quickly enough. So she's now on four medicines. As she is still being sick with the feeding tube going from her nose to her stomach, it was decided that the tube had to go into her bowel instead. Three attempts have been made so far, but they can't the tube to go into the right place. DD is currently waiting for her to have another Xray to see if it's right this time. They are now on a Gastrology ward. DD is coping with it all really well but is obviously finding it all very stressful. She was being provided with meals on the first ward, but the ward they have been moved to have said they won't provide them. So I'll be taking a food parcel tomorrow!
