Highview Parking

Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum so apologies in advance if I am doing anything incorrectly.

I understand new members are invited to read FAQ of the newbies next to the forum at the top, but I was unable to see this.

Anyway I will give a brief description about what has happened.

The registered keeper (which I consider as Mr X) claimed to have received a "Charge Notice Reminder (do not ignore)" from highview parking dated 24/06/2019 with the below details:
  • date in time: 27/05/2019 at 16.28
  • date out time: 27/05/2019 at 18.03
  • duration: 1hr35
The notice reads: A notice was sent to you on 06/06/2019, which gave you 14 days to pay the reduced charge or challenge its issue. Then asked for an outstanding amount of £70.00. It went on and say that "if payment is not received within 14 days, an initial debt recovery charge will be incurred.

However, Mr X was very surprised to receive this and has no idea about what he has just received. He gategorically did not receive anything relating to this charge prior to this letter.

He now wishes to know how he can go about this since he heard very bad reputation and barbaric approach from this company.

Any help and suggestion would be highly appreciated in resolving this stressful situation.

Many thanks in advance.

The keeper should send the appeal template in blue text from post 1 of the NEWBIES thread, unaltered.

If you are having problems with the site, ensure you are using a PC, not a 'phone.

The sticky thread for NEWBIES is just underneath where you clicked on the newthread.gif button.

no blabbing about who was driving , not to anyone, especially not on the net or to Highview

Go back to the page where you clicked on the newthread.gif button as already advised.

The sticky thread for NEWBIES is just underneath it. The appeal template is in blue text in post 1 of that thread.

    It looks like this …

Sticky: **NEWBIES!! PRIVATE PARKING TICKET? OLD OR NEW? **READ THESE FAQS FIRST!** Thankyou!

Hit your back button after reading this post. You'll then come to the forum thread list. The NEWBIES FAQ sticky is always one of the first four threads 'stuck' to the top of the thread list.

The template appeal is in post #1 of the sticky and is shown in blue text.

The more you learn to navigate the forum, the more enabled you will become in finding important stuff relevant to fighting your charge.

These are not fines, they are private invoices for the damage the PPC alleges they suffered when, allegedly, you breached a contract they allege you had agreed with them, we call them scams. They only need to be paid if a judge so directs,

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so get the RK to complain to his/her MP.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

    Hi all,

I am appealing with the blue template 1 as advised previously about Mr X charge notice,. I dont wanna do anything stupid and just needed some clarification about the right selection on the Highview website.

The first screen is asking the below and my presumably I need to select option 2? is that correct?

    * Tick here to confirm that you were the driver and that the PCN you have received contains the correct information Tick here to confirm that you were not the driver or that the PCN you have received contains incorrect information

    Thank you

Of course the keeper chooses the second option.
By doing so you are confirming the PCN is incorrect. Notice the word 'or' in there?

    HI,

Yes Mr X is the keeper of the vehicle, so should he tick option 2? as given above or just click on the box that reads continue to appeal application, without ticking neither options?

    Thanks
