After many complaints about Premier Park Ltd operating a council owned car park in Ilfracombe, the council are considering using their own wardens instead of private scammers when the contract comes up for renewal soon.
Obviously someone in the council didn't do their homework the first time round.

I married my cousin. I had to...
I don't have a sister.

All my screwdrivers are cordless.

I'm surprised the idiots at the council haven't been rumbled before they aren't allowed to use ANPR on council owned car parks or use PPC's.

Apart from getting into bed with scammers, the council seem confused as to the difference between a Parking charge Notice and a Penalty Charge Notice too what a load of old tosh.

Was not Maidenhead Council censured for using a PPC who was issuing claims under contract law?You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

omg, I am dealing with a case to do with this very car park. I have been one of those vociferous complainers. I must have sent half a dozen or so emails to Ilfracombe council asking for action. Although i dont suppose this will help my own case very much...0

You should make a formal complaint to the Local Authorities Ombudsman, citing the Kent case:

I will hopefully be the final nail in PP's coffin at this site if there is a live LA Ombudsman investigation going on, as that costs the Council money and is likely to mean they could find the Ombudsman order them to stop enforcement anyway!
The Council is NOT ALLOWED to operate its car parks as if they were private land.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

This will form the basis of the defence if this thing sees court0 -
UIAM, I am sure that I read somewhere that council owned car parks run by PPCs could not use contract law.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

The Ropery Car Park has been included in THE NORTH DEVON (OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT) ORDER 2019 and enforcement will be by the District Council wardens when this comes into force.0
