Guest WiFi with BT SmartHub and Separate Access Point?

Options
I think I know the answer to this (which is probably no) but networking is one techie area which I consider as dark arts and would welcome some advice. This is s bit of a long post so bear with me please.

What I would like to do is set up a guest network for my broadband which will allow guests to access my broadband for internet access but not be able to access files on my networked computer (I know there is security within the network itself but I was hoping to be able to use additional security within the router).

Having just had BT Broadband installed which uses their SmartHub (the earlier model, not SmartHub 2), I'm disappointed that it does not provide the ability to set up a guest network. I do, however have a Netgear WG602v3 Wireless Access Point which I could connect to the Smarthib via one if it's wired port.

So to the actual question - does anybody know if it's possible to configure the Netgear wireless ports for internet access only? I've tried gong through the manual but it makes my brain hurt.

Thanks

Why not take the simpler approach, and switch your PC off when the guests are using theirs?

Surely the files and folders on your machine will only be visible to other PCs if you switch them to being share-able over the network? That's the way it works with mine, at least. I try to access computer A from computer B, and everything says "You do not have permission" on computer B until I actively switch on file sharing over the network on A.

Thanks. However, having the computer switched off when "guests" are using the network is not an option - when my daughters and their friends are around, my computer is my only refuge!

Many of my files are shareable since my wife and I access them from other devices. And, yes, Windows 10 hopefully provides the appropriate account protection (if I've set it up correctly) but I was hoping that I could use features on the Wireless Access Point to add another layer of protection.
