Hi everyone, this is my 1st post, after some info please..
I have Economy 10 meter that was originally installed by Eon and I have changed to another company that has economy 7 / 10
I have been quoted the following times for our tarrif:
peak 0500 -1300 1600-2000 2200-2300
off peak 0000-0500 1300-1600 2000-2200
The storage heaters and hot water were originally set up to come on only during off peak but I have noticed the times I have been quoted the heating / hot water are coming on during peak times e.g power should only be switching the hot water and heaters on during off peak only.
We have a switch with a red led on the bathroom heater that allows us to see when the heater is on and I noticed power was going to it at 6am when it should not be.
Anyone know how this can be reset to the off peak times quoted, is it the electric company or is it the meter or how does this setup work please?
Any help greatfully received.

Times in this sort of arrangement are almost always GMT times, which will be an hour out in the summer. This is normal.
If it's a mechanical timer it will probably eventually drift anyway so your peak and off peaks will vary.0 -

This sounds like Bulb, is it?Bulb wrote:Can I switch to Bulb with an Economy 10 meter?
Yes, you can switch to us with an E10 meter.
We don’t offer a specific tariff for Economy 10 meters, so you will be charged the same rate at all times of day as if you had a single rate meter.
You should have requested that eon switched your meter from E10 to E7 for free and then switched to an alternative provider to get the best available E7 deal.0
