Nest replacement
Options
My 5 yo Nest Thermostat has just packed up - it works from the App but not from the outer ring. Nest support has confirmed this is terminal.
What do I replace it with - another Nest or a Hive ?

Have Nest support confirmed if a new one should just plug in and work or are there differences between the various models that affect the wiring? If it’ll plug straight in and go then I’d go for another Nest.0

Do you need to replace it - if it works from the app then just use that rather than lashing out lots of money.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

Convenience really - its much easier to adjust the temperature by turning the outer ring and opening up the app.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -

So that’ll probably mean a bit of wiring change. Looking on the bright side, the newer ones do hot water control as well.
You also probably can’t buy just the controller on its own without the Heat Link included in the box.0
