Breakdown renewal

My Greenflag renewal quote is almost £100 and I noticed that the same policy is available at £60 on their website. I’ve tried haggling but they won’t budge. If I let my policy lapse, can I buy it online as a new customer?

If not, what if I change the policy to a cheaper product ie downgrading from recovery plus to rescue plus? I’d still prefer to buy it online as a ‘new’ customer’ because the prices seem better.

I don't see why you can't but if they won't allow it, join another company such as the AA or RAC using the introductory new customer rate. You can rejoin GreenFlag as a new customer next year.
