Dealer damaged car
Driver brought it back after first service (2018 Mitsub Eclipse) and promptly backed it into a wall ! Scrapped rear n/s and mirror. He held his hands up and it is booked in for 1/7 repair. Only minor scratches. Have photos. Courtesy car offered. Phone calls only, no paperwork issued either way.
Is there anything I should be 'asking' for ? as recompense. After all they will be using my petrol (only a gallon, so a little petty). It has a corrosion warranty. Should I ask for a note of the 'repair' to be put in the paperwork ?

...and you will be putting mileage onto their car instead of yours - depreciation, tyre wear, bringing the next service forward, perhaps excess mileage on your finance...
Just get the repair done to acceptable quality, to the terms of the corrosion warranty.
To err is human. They accepted liability immediately.0 -
I would politely ask for a discounted service next time to keep your custom in future years (something like labour waived and only billed for parts). Well, if you dont ask you dont get.0

don't need the courtesy car, so said no. Same guy will be collecting/returning mine !
Have got 3 years free servicing0 -
As long as the repair is a good standard then thats it really - a gallon of petrol is what £5.85 - assuming your car does 30mpg is the garage 15 miles away?
Maybe a valet before they return it?0 -
Get a free service at least. Make sure you closely inspect the work.0
