After having problems with meter readings since I started, decided to switch away. I switched to them on 6th June 2018. So on 5th June started switch. The tariff I was on was one which finished end of July. Final bill showed exit fees of £60. Called them and apparently the contract I was on run until 1st August 2019, even though I switched to them on 6th June, which they do not dispute. Service agent was very good and could see my point, especially after my earlier "complaint" was not resolved. .

Goods news is that after involving the other departments the exit fees were waived. What everyone learnt today, even the service agent, is that the date you switched may not be your contract dates so read every e-mail or letter you receive.

Unfortunately mine were all electronic and my "laptop" died and took my e-mail history with it. So cannot even confirm that I received it.
