Method of payment

I have recently received a parking charge notice for overstaying by 15 mins in a supermarket carpark. The notice did not take account of any observation period or of a grace period. To match their level of obtuse I thought of the following: the payment information in that notice provides only for payment online, by telephone or by post. Am I within my rights to offer to pay by cash and request the operating company to contact me to make an appointment with one of their authorised representatives to collect the cash at a time convenient to me?

If you feel you must pay, then penny's would be the thing

The alternative is to complain to the supermarket and get them to cancel the scam ticket

    Who is the PPC

    Which supermarket

Why on earth would you consider paying a bunch of scammers? Have you read any of the threads on this forum about how awful these companies are, and how we help people fight the cowboys every day.

Even or MPs thing these scammers are scammers in open parliament.

What happened when you complained to the store manager/CEO?

Did the vehicle keeper appeal the charge? You said yourself that no grace periods were applied and that is one of several appeal points available to you.

You complain to the CEO OF Booths to get it cancelled
  • This is just a thought. I fully intend to appeal and do everything to get this cancelled. An offer to pay by cash would only be a last resort.

I don't think so, unless Ian Hislop has branched out into car parks, I think you mean ParkingEye!
