Afternoon all, I'm late getting here. I've done 4 lots of washing though and it is sunny and windy here so things are drying.

I've also done a bit more bramble clearing. Brambles are probably ok if you like blackberries, only I really don't.

Yesterday the nose pad things fell off my specs and I'm allergic to some metals so nose is sore. I'm blind as a bat without them and will need to go in, tgat can't be today as OH and DS need to go out and they are going in the wrong direction. If I could remember where my old specs are, I'd use them but fat chance. It is a long walk and then 2 buses each way to the optician.

Dumpling, I'm sorry your friend is being awful, I know she's unwell but it still hurts. I'm cross on your behalf about the visit from MY services, very unprofessional.

Afternoon all. DH and I have been to Weston Super Mare today. The sun was lovely but it was breezy. It is the furthest DH has driven since his operation and he was absolitely fine. He has his 3 month check up on Tuesday ( only a few weeks late). We shall be able ask questions and find out if he is fit to fly. Apart from having his stitchrs out a week after his op we have had no contact wrth any medical.professional.. He has been fine though.

What a beautiful day it's been! So blooming hot.

The Openreach engineer arrived by 9.15 and faffed about for ages doing techie things which he explained to me - went all over my head. He's but on a new faceplate, sorted out new wires and moved the router, no fault showing now.

The cleaner came, cleaned and left. DM didn't want to talk to her apart from a quick hello which is odd. She (DM) ate a little breakfast and has just finished the few tiny wee sandwiches - one piece of bread cut up - which I left out for her.

My visit to my friend was lovely. He moved house about a year ago to a really cute ground floor flat in a very quiet area. It's small though bigger than my place and is furnished with many items from his deceased partner who was very creative. I'm glad I went.

Now i'm 'resting'!
