Mark on passport secondary image worn off. Is it damaged ??

Hi there so I'm travelling to the U.S in 3 days time.
When looking through my Dad's passport I noticed a tiny white mark on the side of the image on the observations page. The size is less than 1mm and you can’t feel it when you rub your finder across the page but it’s still there.
Other than that the passport is in perfect condition all info on the bio data page is clear and the laminate is secure, there are no pages missing and the chip reads perfectly fine.
Does my dad need a replacement or is it nothing to worry about?

The tiny mark sounds insignificant. What do you mean by 'secondary image worn off' in the thread title?Evolution, not revolution0

You can never tell with homeland security.
If he's travelled there in the last few years then they will have his fingerprints etc so can confirm it's himEx forum ambassador

The one on the observations page right opposite to the bio data page. It's not the actual passport image.0

You won't know until you get there.
They may deem that you have made an attempt to alter the passport.0 -

Has it 'worn off' or was it never very sharp? I ask because my 'secondary' one is appallingly feint and always has been.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Sorry for the misunderstanding the picture hasn't actually "worn" off it's just a small white dot on the very left side of the picture its about 1mm in size. Other than that the rest of the picture and the page is immaculate.0

Hmm. Why use the words "worn off" then?
Something amiss here.0 -
There are lots of white dots on the image. The image is made up with the letters and numbers in your name and date of birth. As long as the data page is intact it should be fine.Sorry for the misunderstanding the picture hasn't actually "worn" off it's just a small white dot on the very left side of the picture its about 1mm in size.
