Are there any references to PPI here?

Options
Hi all

Trawling through old accounts for potential PPI and the one that sticks out is a Vanquis card I had from 2008 - 2015 (thankfully long gone). I have no statements left but found my credit agreement in my email inbox. I'm fairly certain there's no reference to anything that can be construed as PPI here but could someone in the know double-check to see if I'm missing something? I've uploaded it but there's no personal info on it, just details of their standard terms and conditions form 2008.

Thanks in advance.

That's just generic t&cs. It doesn't tell you if you had PPI or not.

2008 is late for loan and credit card PPI, certainly by 2009 it was no longer retailed by all the major banks.

Thanks for the response - it was from the rather shifty Vanquis Bank, hence my suspicion.

I'll send off a template letter to them and a couple of others before August anyway. Unlikely there is anything to claim but may as well see...

Why don't you simply contact those lenders in the first instance and ask them if you had PPI? If you only closed the card in 2015, then there will likely be a full record of the account.

In addition, why would you send a complaint template letter about a financial product you may not have? What would your "complaint" reason be?
  • I never said I'd send a complaint letter - there are template letters available to ask if I had PPI.
