EON smart meter range

Does anyone know the range of the smart gas meter? The gas meter is outside and the electric meter is two stories up and in a cupboard behind two walls. Will they be able to talk to each other?
Also will the smart electric meter be able to connect to the In-Home display unit which is also behind two walls.

Situations differ between properties and we're currently working on various strategies to cope with the sort of circumstances you describe. I'd talk to our specialist smart team as they'll be able to outline what's happening in much more detail.
To give you a quick overview. The electricity meter is the hub of the operation. It stores, sends and receives information. Gas meters send readings to the electricity meter and the electricity meter sends information to the display and back to us. Any material between the two points trying to communicate can affect the signal quality. Wood, plasterboard and other building materials generally have a minimal effect. Thick stone and concrete can have a bigger impact. Metal has the biggest effect on the signal.
