Martin and Tonight with Trevor McDonald looking for people in debt

THIS IS NOW CLOSED
After an overwhelming response, Tonight is swamped with replies and is wading through them - so I'm sorry but the email is now taken down as they can't cope with ay more.
If you have debt problems please read the problem debts article for more help.
Also we'll be looking for more people to give MoneySaving help for other programmes in future; they'll all be included in the weekly email
Tonight with Trevor McDonald is doing a special programme on debt and is looking for volunteers for Martin to look at their finances. It’s looking at people's money worries with the view to offering practical advice and solutions to get debt free. By taking part in the programme as well as hopefully helping yourself, many others will benefit.
Who fits the bill?
A mix of people. This isn't just for people with massive debt crisis problems. It also applies if you can easily afford the repayments, and just need to sort your debts out to make them cheaper and you're not sure where to start.
Of course to do this you must be willing to talk about your debts on the TV.
How do I apply?
If any of the above applies to you please contact NOW CLOSED at Tonight with Trevor McDonald
What if I don't get picked?
There's lots of free help available on the site, the best place to start is the Debt Problems article.

Yep I would love to myself, but couldn't publically "OUT" myself:eek:
Would be great to meet the master though;)

Ooooh, I would love to, but working for a finance company I'm sure I'd find myself getting strange glances in the canteen on the Monday morning, I can hear them now!Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0

I see a small flaw here!
Anyone volunteering from this board would already have had all their finances ripped to pieces and may I even be bold enough to say given all the advice Martin possibly could give, if not more!0 -

Aye, that's true, SS, but I'd say you'd be perfect for it! You've got the personality AND managed to repay £20,000 in just 2 years (man, how have you managed that???)! I'd say you're a success story in the making and would probably feature at the end of the show... just like those peeps who appear on Dragon's Den during the last 10 minutes... so everyone can go away with a positive vibe and knowing it CAN be done!0 -
Only if my voice was disguised aka Gerry Adams of IRA and my face pixalated... which would probably give my looks a boost anyway!Second and final LBM 01/01/11 Nearly got there but fell of wagon. HAVE to do it this time :mad:0
