Now Tv

Options
Hi

My sky offer has run out. My current package was £56 per month and that was for HD, 2x multirooms plus everything but sports. This has now rocketed to £87 so I’ve cancelled. Their renewal offer was rubbish.
I’m thinking about now tv. They have an offer just now for 6 months for £60 and that includes cinema, kids and entertainment. Am I able to watch shows live i.e greys at 9pm or do I have to wait to download? Can you record now tv? How would it work elsewhere in the house? Do I have to buy extra dongles/boxes? Thanks

You can watch certain channels live, see the website for what you can see. On demand stuff is streamed, not downloaded. No you can't record - you can pause for 30 minutes. You can watch NowTV on various devices, again see the website, you just sign into your account on those devices, a maximum of IIRC four per account?
  • They are introducing the option to download so you can watch items on the go without having to use the internet or data

I don't have the Kids pass but do have the Entertainment and Cinema passes.

The entertainment and cinema channels are available live on Now TV. I have not encountered in the last 3 months any programmes that I have not been able to watch live.

You can not record on the smart stick or smart box, and while this is an inconvenience if you are unable to watch live, I have found everything I watch is available on demand, albeit sometimes after it has finished airing (i.e. if I missed the first 15 minutes, I may need to wait another 45-60 before being able to watch on demand)

You can now add up to 6 devices to your account (smart stick, smart box, mobile, tablet etc), but you can still only watch on two devices at any one time.

You can start watching something on one device, and continue watching on another device, although this can be temperamental at times.

You can buy extra dongles if it is easier for you, or you can simply connect your dongle to another TV. I have 4 boxes because I find it easier and bought them cheaper off ebay and facebook marketplace.

I'm a Now TV customer and I'm very pleased with the service I receive. I have set-top box in my living room and a dongle for the bedroom. I have the movie and entertainment passes and watch live TV as well. Very simple and uncomplicated.

Depending on the offers available, you could get Now TV Entertainment + Movies for as little as £99 per year (£8.25 per month).
