British Gas Homecare - Access and making good

I'm keen to get any guidance on BG Homecare's Ts&Cs around fixing damage they make.
The Ts&Cs seem to state there's £1000 to go towards access and making good any damage - yet the engineer hasn't heard of this & says I should speak to head office/call centre to access this. And the call centre say that the engineer will advise?
The wording is below:
The terms & conditions

say on p29:
My situation is that we had a leak in the kitchen ceiling, coming from the waste pipe leaving the house (v nasty!) so to fix the leak they have had to cut a hole in the plasterboard ceiling... this made sense & was the right thing to do....
I'm just trying to understand how that sentence corresponds to me needing to get a handyman/decorator out to put up a bit of plasterboard, blend it in & repaint... at my own cost?
Should they being doing this, upto £1000? Or should I invoice them the first £1000 of my bill?
Thoughts?

Getting access and making good In addition to the cost of parts and labour, our insurance products and our non-insurance service and repair warranty products cover up to £1,000 including VAT for getting access and making good.
