  • It always helps to know you are not alone.
    I admire anyone who tries to work through problems in relationships and doesnt give up at the first sign of trouble (which I think too many people do these days) - whatever the outcome. I found that we had to get back to why we fell in love in the first place, and start putting each other first again. Its now almost 5 years since our own personal trauma and I can truly say that this is the best our relationship has ever been (and we have been together since 1989). Its not been easy, but no one said it would be. Good Luck and Love to you all. xx

    Hi SW....glad everything has turned around for you...no guilt about the planned tip to venice either as you deserve a treat you have come through so much and have really concentrated on your debts though you're working at it together (which is the best way) it can get very stressful and tedious dealing with debt....
    glad your foot is better now and that you can carry on running...how far we have all come in a year
  • Your right Taxi,

    I remember May12th last year; Thought Id never get through it all but with help from friends here we did. Its unbeleivable how much it has turned around (its not always fine and dandy and Ill never forget) but we do so much more together now and even with the London Marathon, which takes up a lot of time training, she is so supportive and the biggest thing driving me on is seeing her and my son at the finish line! Might be a little emotinal that;

    Debt is coming right down and Im hopeful that the Barclaycard loan will be finished by August this year and we have decided to put the last loan on the mortgage,as our martgage is quite low for our age and will be paid off in 10 years so the only debt we will have then is the mortgage and nothing else.

    Thanks
    Southwester

    Hey SW :)

    That's great - £500 should sort them out super fast. Are you still thinking of putting the loan on the mortgage or will you attack it fully after you've paid the barclays off?

  • Hi Sea

    I think once the big one gets below £10000 we are looking at putting it on the mortgage, I need to check where we are with that as we pay £290 a month to the big one so I reckon Im t about £12000-£13000 left on it, Ill get the Barclaycard one clear by July hopefully and go from there
