Is this quote fair for the below. It’s a 4 bed semi in South sweat England
Rake out and re-point the complete rear elevation of brickwork as discussed. Replace x8 damaged bricks. Replace x 4 single cast iron air vents & x2 double cast iron vents with new. Rake out and re-point patches of brickwork on the front & gable elevations asdiscussed (5 square meters of re-pointing in total). Remove bricks and clear the cavity on the front, gable & rear elevations. Apply brick acid on the rear elevation where mortar is on the brick. Work to be carried out off supplied scaffolding to the rear. Isolate old fish tail wall ties on the rear elevation and install new. (£705 +VAT includes 25 year guarantee) Total cost for the above work including scaffolding and wall tiereplacement = £2605 + VAT = £3126Please note that this price includes all labour, materials and waste.

Is the original mortar lime based ?
If so, any cement mortar will stand out like a sore thumb and lead to other problems 20-30 years down the line. The guarantee is likely to be worthless unless backed by an insurance policy..Her courage will change the world.
