Barclaycard Forward and Apple Pay

Does anyone have specifically the 'Barclaycard Forward card' - and it set up successfully on Apple Pay? It doesn't say anywhere online that it can't be used - in fact says barclaycards can use it without a problem. Yet when I try to set it up - it won't add to the wallet - and when I called them - they said it doesn't work with 'Forward' for now. Its a new card to me - so wondering if that's a palm-off - or whether this does apply across all 'forward' cardholders? If you have one - and use apple pay (or can't use apple pay) please let me know :) Thanks

I have one and use Apple Pay, however I had a NatWest debit Card and it didn’t let me add it to Apple Pay for couple months, because of a low ‘credit score’.

That's my thought too... The call centre agent told me it was for all 'Forward' cards - and I didn't believe her :) (I am on an upwardly improving credit journey following past problems - but like banks to be transparent in their dealings) - thanks for confirming you have one, and that it works

I had that specific card and was able to use it with Apple Pay. I have not heard about the feature's accessibility being associated with a customer's credit score, since it does not provide a facility for customers to abuse their card any differently to the physical equivalent.

Apple Pay collects entitlement information from the card issuer, including whether or not to allow offline transactions at a terminal, such as TFL gates, which is something that is present on the chip of a credit card. Online transactions check with Barclays before approving, therefore no risk of going overlimit non-consensual.

I've had that card on Apple pay for many years also.

Thanks all - I suspected as much. I'm not as daft as they think I am :)
