PCM naming driver rejected
N1322
Hi
I’ve recently received a pcn from PCM while a relative from abroad was driving the car. He basically forgot to put the permit on display when he parked up outside my house.
I’ve used the template to name the driver who lives overseas and PCM have rejected and asked me to provided evidence of the drivers insurance which I don’t have.
The other option they’ve given is obviously to pay or appeal the IAS ( which I’ve been reading to be pointless)
Should I ignore along with any letter they send in the future?
Don’t know what to do from here? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Ignore them until LBC (Gladstones letter) then see the NEWBIES thread post #2.
The POFA does NOT require a keeper to supply insurance for the named driver. The fact you have named him and given his address for service abroad, is enough to transfer liability in law.
If they get Gladstones to sue you, then you have a clear legal defence.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
