Followed their instructions and then a final demand turns up

Hi all,

I have a PCN and sent an appeal, I made the appeal on their conditions in their time scales. I have a confirmation of the appeal, however I have never received a follow up to the appeal, today a final demand for £160 arrives. There is no way to speak with a human being on any of the info contained within the letters.

Any ideas what I should do, as it feels like they have not responded using their own rules and just handed it to a debt collector.

thanks in advance

Which PPC, if it is a BPA company complain to them that you have not received a reply to your appeal and no POPLA code. If it is a IPC company, ignore the debt collector letter and wait for a LBC. The NEWBIE thread explains it all.

As above but don't forget you are dealing with devious scammers, and never ever try to "speak with a human being on any of the info contained within the letters" it won't do you any good and they will only try to con you into paying.

    Thanks for the reply,

the company is PCN parking solutions PO box 5419, Hove, BN52 9AN. they do not appear to be on the BPA list.
Their website is paymypcn dot net

There was no ticket placed on the vehicle, just a letter turned up.

On the PCN, there is normally some information showing whether they are BPA or IPC.

found them on IPC and followed the IAS appeal process via the registered contact us section, as it states the PCN is out of date for an appeal. I'm appealing that my appeal was not responded to, so it's an appeal about an appeal. Feels like the guard scene in the holy grail

Pointless appealing to IPC through IAS as they are (mainly) all rejected.

How does it matter? We already know about IPC and IAS lack of appeal, as covered in the NEWBIES thread post #3.

IPC cases are won at small claims stage, not appeal.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Thank you for your enquiry.

After having the opportunity to contact the Parking Operator, PCN (NW) Ltd have provided a status log, which is produced from their system and shows the date each letter is printed and sent. We are therefore satisfied that the letter was sent within the correct time frame.

The rejection letter (NEVER GOT THIS) was emailed on 14th May 2019 at 16:30hrs to the email address provided on your appeal to them.

We are sorry but we cannot allow an out of time appeal. There is now, however, an alternative. the Non-Standard appeals procedure has been established which allows motorists, who are out of time to appeal under the standard appeals procedure, to make an appeal.
Please note that in order to appeal under the Non-Standard appeals procedure, the consent of the Parking Operator is required. There is also a £15 fee to be paid, and the decision is binding on both parties.

The Parking Operator will tell you if they are willing to engage with the procedure and, if they are, they will provide the IAS with the necessary information to allow you to lodge your appeal by entering your parking charge reference number and your vehicle registration. If the parking operator has informed you that they will engage with the Non-Standard appeals procedure, but you are unable to lodge your appeal using these pieces of information, then you must contact them in order to resolve any issues.

Please note that only the Parking Operator can provide you with the ability to lodge a Non-Standard appeal. If you are having difficulties The IAS will not be able to provide you with the ability to lodge an appeal.

NOTE : If you need to lodge your appeal by post you will need to follow the instructions which can be found at theias.org

    Kind regards

    The IAS

But you already know from the NEWBIES thread, post #3 where this is covered, NEVER to touch the 'non standard' IAS appeal that they charge you to lose.
