Withdrawn Offer From Bank

Hi All,
Please can somebody in the know tell me if there is anything i can do...
I was offered £3,500 as a bank charges claim and sent an acceptance form from my bank. I signed this and sent it back to the company who is dealing with my claim. On this form it stated that i would recieve the full amount in my bank account within 7 days. A week later i received another letter from the company telling me that the bank are not paying the amount and the bank charges complaint has been put on hold until the resolution of the test case between the Office of fair trading and the banks.
Surely if i have signed to accept their offer they cannot withdraw it again a week later???
If anyone has any info or experience of this please reply. Thanks

How long ago was this? Probably around about the time of the stay. Yes they are. Unfortunately for you.
Not strictly true, if an offer was on the table it has to be honoured, however as you aren't dealing with your claim yourself you have no guarantee that the company you are dealing with actually sent in your acceptance in time.
I hope you have a copy of this offer and I would go directly to the bank and find out what is happening.0
