I think if they are bragging about winning crap they don't want, they are either entering the wrong comps, and missing stuff they would like, or entering so many they can't have time to enjoy their wins or the rest of their life. I'm fairly selective but still spend a lot of time on it, and I aren't going to spend more.

This happened to me twice with 1st 2nd 3rd place prizes though, I went for the baby gear bundle and blu-ray player but came in second and got a maternity pillow and set of bluray discs, respectively.
It was still a good win, just not what I was going for :rotfl:

That said, it does annoy me when people just enter everything and hope they can sell the prize. I only go for things I really want because as you say, time.
