Hi there,
I'm taking part in a few bits and bobs of work that I have to record my voice and also take part in online interviews. My husband is rather noisy (Sorry darling) and for that reason, I was wondering if anyone can recommend any of the noise cancelling PC headsets (That cover both ears) and which are the best to use?

Thank you

Headphones come in a very wide range of performance, facilities and cost.
To get the best advice you need to put some detail on your needs, so far it is very general except for wanting to exclude extetnal noise.

Not listed in your order of priority here, you may be better answerig in your priority:
Budget (tens or hundreds of pounds?)
Noise excluding (normally fine) or active noise cancelling (usually only required for most noisy situations or for highest quality listening)
Wired (on a cable) or wireless (to give more freedom of movement)
How long will they be worn at a time
Integral microphone on a boom attached to the heacset or is freestanding ok
What will your voice be used for - to assess quality of sound required
What device(s) are you onnecting to - you mention PC so is that on Windows or an Apple

.....will do for starters. For any reasonable headset you can probably start at £40 upwards to at least several hundred without trying too hard!

If your husband is noisy enough that you need to block him out in order to hear clearly, wouldn’t his noise be picked up in the background by the microphone?
Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

As Jackie indicated, what you actually need is a 'husband-noise-cancelling' mechanism - perhaps a gob-stopper sweet, or even a gag? :)
I leave the implementation to your fertile imagination...

Of course, this is an argument ad hominem...!

It's not exactly what you're after but I have one of these

The mic is pretty good at just picking up what's said into it and not any background noise.

They sit on the ear rather than being closed ear but are still pretty comfortable. No longer available but I assume there's going to be another newer model that suits what you need more closely.

What is your husband doing thats noisy ?

Could you tell him to not make noise while your recording or tell him to go out eg to the pub so you have some peace.

A full gimp suit should do the trick. Multi-functional use as well. :D
