Peony
When I moved here I brought my lovely red peony with me. In the process (it had to be dug up and parked temporarily before being planted) a tiny bit of tuber got broken off.
Waste not, want not, I stuck it in a pot. Didn’t really expect it to survive, but it has and this year has two healthy looking stems. Still very small.
I’m probably going to put it in the garden, and will do my best to do so in a way that keeps it happy (I know very little about gardening, but I can transplant a peony! It was originally in my childhood home and has moved with me several times).
Should I wait till it’s bigger? Or would moving it while it is small be less of a shock? And has anyone any idea how long it is likely to be before I get rewarded with a flower?

As it's in a pot the roots will not be disturbed too much, but I think I'd wait until it's died down come autumn. That way you will not need to keep watering in garden + it'll be that more mature
Flowering, from what I've read, ages, seems they hate disturbance but you may prove the exceptionEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
Don't plant too deeply or it will not flower.
Te top of the root ball should be level with the soil0
