BT Vision Box

Hi
Any techies out there tell me if i can use the above through a Bt Voyager 2500V router instead of the BT Hub Im not interested in the extra payable programes only want the Freeview Channels. I understand at the moment the box should give Freeview but needs a BT internet connection to upgrade and reboot.

Cheers

as far as i am aware, the bt vision box needs to be connected to the homehub, so i dont think it will work with your router, hth Dave.

looking at this thread, you can

So I also changed to a voyager 2500v and moved it, away from my PC, to the master socket(in the hall, hopefully away from the noise sources).

I have also bought a new Belkin router lead, which uses cat 5 cable, which may also reduce the noise, I have not tried this yet.

So far the results are good, I sync at 4.5 Mbt/s (good for me,previously the Hhub would reboot and the sync speed would drop to 2.2Mbt/s and the VOD would not always work), the BTvision video on demand works fine.

When it has settled down, after 3/10 days, I may try the HH ub again, because with the voyager 2500v the VOIP phones do not display the callers ID, on calls to my main line.

It also needs to be connected to BT Internet to pick up it's EPG information, so it's pretty useless if you are not with BT.
