Project solar Ltd

Hi I hope someone could give me some advice I had solar Panels fitted 4 years ago and for 6 months they have not been working. I was under the illusion that I was under guarantee but according to the company project solar limited I need to pay £300 for a call out appointment I feel a little duped and I was wondering if this the case or I need to pay for a call-out. Appreciate any advice as not had much luck with money recently.

What do their terms and conditions say? Without knowing the detail of the contract you have with them I have no idea whether you've been duped or not.

    As above .
Illusion can be that you did not read/ understand .
Some do have a call out fee that may be refundable if warranty claim upheld .
Warranty is not your consumer rights its an extra subject to any terms and conditions they choose.

I would want to know if the fee is refundable .

If you dont want to pay what are you going to do ??

    Hi

Probably continue to miss out on the feed-in tariff payments, of which 6 months of lost opportunity would have probably paid for any call-out charge already ... ;)

Unless there's a workmanship guarantee provided by the installer or a third party insurance scheme then the best approach would likely be to ring a local installer and have a chat, but before that provide some details of what the symptoms are & what's already been checked for, if anything .... if the OP pops her(?) observations & what's already been tried on the G&E board (where those with PV tend to post) version of this thread, there may be some simple solutions to try first ...
