Can I go back to my current insurers not as a renewal?

I am with RIAS - they auto renewed for £600 -I called up and cancelled as I had seen it online for £450 from RCIB.

When I called RIAS said we can knock it down to 550 - I said no.

I went to the RCIB website and just clicked through the info - to check data was correct and MADE NO CHANGES and quote jumped to £500.

I then put my details into RIAS as a new customer and it came out at £500.

So can I go back to RIAS again?

Also I had 13yrs NCD last yr and would have 14 this yr but If I put in 9yrs (ma RIAS give) my quote is a bit lower.

So what do I do for my NCD?

Last year I had Tesco 13yrs NCD passed to RIAS.

Now if I go back to RIAS I put in 14yrs and the quote is a few pounds more than if I put in 9yrs NCD. Now RIAS only gives 9 years NCD so do I put in 14 or 9?

put what the factual amount is which would be 14,

as with any of these questions, answer them to the best of your knowledge, don't guess, if your not sure ask the insurer or you risk your insurance being cancelled or non payout in a claim
